'CBLDF' is an acronym for 'Comic Book Legal Defense Fund'. This non-profit organization helps comic artists, authors, and retailers maintain their First Amendment rights. Many comics are considered obscene (or worse) and the retailers/creators/etc. are arrested, brought up on indecency charges, and worse. Over the past five years, the CBLDF has helped raise more than $200,000 US to pay expenses for defending the freedom of speech and expression.
The CBLDF states their main view is "..that comics should be accorded the same constitutional rights as literature, film, or any other form of expression."
The organization attends conventions around the United States, and gathers much needed funds via donations, auctions, and the selling of CBLDF Charity items.
