Who Is Mondo?

Well, I'm not sure why anyone would want to know more about me, but since there's room here, I'd thought I'd put in an about me page on this site.

Des Paroz

I was born 30 odd years ago, and in that time have had a pretty good time. Born in Hong Kong, grew up in Gunnedah* (a town in rural Australia) before going to Nudgee* College (a boarding school) in Brisbane.

After finishing school went to the University of Queensland, and studied (or something like that) Economics.

Pretty much as soon as I graduated, I was on a plane to Tokyo, Japan where I spent a couple of years. Lucky enough to do an internship with NCR Japan. Originally went to Japan to study karatedo, a passion for many years (though not something I actively do anymore).

Came back to Australia, worked for NCR here, went off to the US for a while. Came back to Australia again.

During this time (in Oz) I learnt to scuba dive, got my Masters degree in Marketing (from UNSW), and got my instructors, and more recently master instructors, rating in diving.

Now I work for Acer Computer Australia, where I am director of Enterprise Solutions.

Scuba diving and UW Photography are my passions these days, along with reading, and e-business/e-marketing.

Recently re-read HHGTTG, and stumbled across H2G2.com by using the Babelfish translator in AltaVista.

If you want to know more about me, visit my website, The Divesite.

I can be contacted by email at [email protected]

Hope that was interesting:-)

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
