I was just reading that Slovakin acientists have shown that there is link between new and full moons (and therefore peak tides) and gout. One explanation that has been proposed is that the gravitational pull of the moon has an effect on the uric acid crystals that build up in the joints.( I wonder, then, if this could be a target for magnetotherapy smiley - erm - something I've been considering writing an Entry on smiley - smiley

Yes, but that Entry was discussing the effect of the Moon on tides (large water body) having an effect on the human body 'coz we're 80% water.

The effect on gout might be due to the effect of Moon's gravity on a dissolved chemical; (uric acid)
