I remember ages ago on one lovely delay at LHR (I'm a bit of a air enthusiast - not plane spotter mind, I just love aircraft and airports!)that I found the escalators one of the greatest entertainment devices of all time.

I was young at the time.
I also don't suggest that you should do this as it's probably not allowed, but...

Going up the down escalators and down the up escalators is just really brillaint fun. If there's two of you then race each other up and then down again.

smiley - yikes

They now have announcements for "parents and guardians" "requesting" that they keep their children "under supervision". It doesn't go on to say that "unsupervised children will be removed and may be destroyed" but the implication is there! smiley - winkeye

Sounds like fun though.

But surly you can still supervise them running up and down the escallators. You could get into teams, one adult supervises one team and another supervises the others.
