Once you have tasted Mustang coffee there is no return. Make a cup of really bad quality instant coffee...any brand but the more revolting the better and add some cheap rum. Now for the most important ingredient, a big dollop of rancid yak butter. Stir well and enjoy.

Actually, real Mustang coffee would use either rakshi (locally distilled alcohol; from corn, millet, barley, etc.), or, preferably, Marpha apple brandy - Marpha being located in lower Mustang, and being an apple-growing centre.
