I hated the film the first time around and still have an overwhelming urge to kill Garfunkel. I'll bloody dull his bright eyes for him. Wanker.

In that case you'd like the (probably apochraphal)sign in the butchers window after the film was released.
You've read the book....
You've seen the film....
...NOW eat the pie.

I can't see what's so bad about having a million and one rabbits running amock (muck?) in the country. The farmers won't like it but it's up to them to deal with it.
After you've seen WD, you can't wish death on any animal (apart from tarantulas).

Oh, yes. They're really lovely wee beasties...
I'd love to have another one to replace our last rabbit, but I hate keeping anything caged and would worry that he'd find his way to the road where our last rabbit met his demise after living free range for a couple of years... Mind you, we lost our last cat in exactly the same place only a few month's ago...

I remember seeing three wild rabits bounding into a bush in somebody's garden when we were in N. Wales. Elusive little beasties aren't they?
But there is so much wildlife up there!

Chrimney, how come so many people hate rabbits? They are one of the most adorable creatures ever. And subject of the best book and animated film ever!

I never said anything about hating rabbits. I just don't feel they get the press they deserve. Most people go on about fluffy bunnies being all nice and that, I admit it is nice to see them (best times seem to be late evening/early morning, whilst on a train, for me). But they are also a pest to crop farmers (Peter Rabbit nearly got his cumuppance for doing his worst to the farmers crops).
They are also very nice to eat, and at least you can think they might have lived a nice bunny life before being got and turned into a pie, probably not for most supermarket stuff but a real possibility if you get rabbit pie in a country pub.
I was actually told in one pub by a local that the two chaps standing by the bar were to thank for my meal of game pie that night.
