np - I've had a think and they could be used afterwards, in the early days of CI use (after that they'd be annoyingly loud - but then they are for the rest of us, too smiley - silly), it's just that I use them mostly before.

I can remember when my old aunt got her first hearing aid .... she was astonished at the noise of the traffic - she couldn't bear it and used to turn the hearing aid off when she went out.smiley - weird


I thought it was strange at the time because I take the noise for granted but it must be a big shock for someone to hear it for the first time in years .... plus I would have thought it a good thing that you could hear traffic - as a sort of assist to crossing the road.smiley - winkeye
