In response to the original query, ... I have known a few people who have joined into Naturist groups and the like. And so long as personal hygiene is tidy, and respect for everyone else, ... whether you are shaved or not matters not at all. So if it's your 'cup of tea', enjoy and worry not.

I have been a "nudest" and shaved for years and never had more than a second look. I have not had any comments made. Not even from my doctor or in hospital. Shaving is becoming more popular and accepted. So I say go for it.

Your query is not anything to really worry about as its considerered more hygenic to be shaved in Australia. Its where I live where our weather can be extremely hot.
To give you an idea Christmas Day 2006 was 32c in Brisbane and -03 in Hobart with heavy snowfalls in Melbourne and this is our Summer.The distance between Brisbane and Melbourne is over 2000 miles,and takes 2 1/2 hrs to fly.
Naturism is very popular here in the Southern,Western,and Northern areas of Australia.
We naturists come in all shapes and sizes and some prefer to remain unshaved others do yet there is a greater trend towards body jewellery that is initself could prove dangerous.
I believe a shaved vagina is quite acceptable.

No it doesn't matter if you're hairy, half shaven or completely shaven. Go to a recognised nudist beach and enjoy the sun.

Went to Studland beach, Dorset yesterday glorious day . There were quite a few smoothies there, as always - both male and fewmale.

I know I'm a few years late with this but I say 'Go for it'. I spent last summer mostly nude sailing and swimming in the Ionian Sea as well as trips to Studland and it was great. A year or two before I was in Menorca where most people were nude on most beaches - all the quiet ones (beaches that is!) I am totally shaved down below and I am noticing more and more men and women who are happy to rid themselves of this pointless hair - it is much better for getting intimate after all! I like genital jewellery but have none (yet!) but a girl on Studland does have a super clitoral number that I would love to have a closer look at! Good luck! Try Fishing Cove in Cornwall too!
