It's one of my kitchen tools which, like the pressure cooker, I wouldnt want to be without.

The one most people have in their drawer is the old fixed blade type of peeler. It has a slot in the blade like the speed peeler but you have to press quite hard to use it. The swivel motion of the blade of the speed peeler allows it to follow the contours of the vegetable with very little pressure.
