This is a somewhat newer addition to standard Southern fare. I thought I would mention it, as most visitors find the name somewhat confusing. And I can't say I blame them.

Chicken friend chicken is a boneless piece of chicken (usually chicken breast) that is cooked like chicken fried steak. The result is approximately steak-sized and steak-shaped and it is covered with gravy. So fried chicken is pieces of chicken with bones inside. Chicken fried chicken is a flat piece of chicken breast covered with gravy. There you go.
