"In Spite of the fact ..."

My favorite quote regarding Shakespeare, "In spite of the fact that everyone says he's good, he's really very good!" I forget who said it.
My wife & I visited the Globe in '99, and agree with the entry's description. Starting even earlier, I've been trying to revisit Shakespeare's works. I do agree with the quote about performances being better than reading, and I prefer the updated language versions - WS wasn't writing in a language only half intelligible to his audience, IMHO.
I can't remember the play we saw, it was a comedy with actors dancing all over the stage, and off the stage, I think. Audience interaction is definitely a plus, especially in such a venue clearly laid out with that in mind.
"Be not afeard. Ths isle is full of noises,
Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not."
