Wasn't the poem also a critical part of a DNA story - one of the Holistic Detective Agency things? I vaguely remember that the man from Porlock was Dirk Gently.

Dirk Gently was the gentleman who intentionally interrupted Coleridge while he was writing the poem. Something about saving humanity from destruction, I believe.
