Traveller in Time smiley - tit on his head
"How about ships in shallow water?

This may be not very known, but ships in shallow water have relatively fast flowing water underneath, sucking the ship to the bottom.
If the speed of a ship is sufficiently high it sucks a hole in the water and grounds itself by its on speed.

What was the name of the guy who 'invented' this trick? "
