Thank you for writing such an interesting and moving article. I was fascinated to learn of the connection (across the Atlantic and back again!) between the RSPCA and the NSPCC. I'm a member of both societies, and it's amusing to find out that they both owe their origins to a mad Irish landowner with a penchant for duelling.
