Tadpoles

Pollywogs is just the US name, but this article is about frogs in the UK so they are called tadpoles.
Good article, with some technical information I didn't know in it. In my experience tadpoles take longer than a few days to hatch out, but I suppose that can depend on any change of water temperature and so on. There are supposed to be a few other varieties inteh UK, such as teh marsh frog in Kent and the Natterjack toad but I've never seen either. Newts are usually mentioned alongside though, and the palmate and smooth newts are quite common.
