Thank you for an excellent article. I've recently bought the three albums released during his lifetime and, having owned 'Solid Air' and other early John Martyn LPs for the best part of 15 years, it is a shame that it has taken me so long to discover Nick Drake. My favourite guitar intro of all time is on Day is Done, from Five Leaves Left, and overall I think that is his best album, but I have a "Complete Nick Drake" playlist on iTunes, and that section of my Apple Mac's hard drive is going to be worn out pretty soon I think.

The music of Nick Drake is timeless and beautiful. If you haven't yet discovered him, you will not be dissapointed
