Ice warning

Just a tip - do be careful when its icy. Two wheelers are for once not as good as four. I've come off very badly in ice (twice) -it was black ice hard to see and even harder to ride on.
When you hit the ground it hurts and it can throw you into the line of traffic.
I ride in rain and snow - but icy roads unless you have some studded cyclocross tyres are very tricky indeed.
Still global warming and all that...

Sorry to hear about your unscheduled dismount - solutions to ice riding include riding a recumbent and riding a recumbent trike smiley - smiley

FWIW, when icy I always stick to bus routes (which are gritted).
