very interesting-but I'm not sure I agree with what was said about Frankie in the Carry-On films---I think he was as great
a part of them as any of the others-and was perfect in Carry-on up the jungle.

Yes I saw the Reputations documentary and thought it was pretty shabby, not nearly long enough it failed to get to the real Frankie, sad as the Kenneth Williams 'Reputations' was excellent!

I think that Carry On Up The Jungle is very good with many a wonderful line and a truly great performance by Frankie - certainly one to titter to

Great article. I recently watched the repeat of Up Pompeii on BBC2 because I's never had a chance to see it before. I must admit there's no ther way to describe it except to say that its just brilliant!
