The Full Porky

A mention here has to go to DNA's own contribution to breakfast lingo! The continental breakfast, or the 'full porky'? The two breakfasts you can get in a hotel. The more European selection of croissants, pastries, cheese ham and jam. Or the tradition English, with both bacon and sausage, hence the full porky.
I know where my preference lies!

We stayed at a B&B in Alnwick last year.
The owner asked us if we'd like the ordinary fried breakfast, or his new continental breakfast. He said most people preferred the continental, so we decided to try that.
He brought it out all pride and smiles. It was cereal and toast.
Once he'd gone we had a good laugh about it, but it taught me a valuable lesson. Stick to the things you know you do well.
