I don't think 'The Ring' can be called merely an 'English-language version'; putting aside my personal dislike of the remake, the story and characters differ a great deal.
Plus: is it true Hideo Nakata is directing the remake of Ringu 2? (if so, begs the question, why not him in the first place... oh well, condolences to the US as I gather you cannot even buy the original sequels there.)
Anyone know if Tom Cruise is planning to be in The Eye, now he's bought it?
Not ranting, just some observatios/queries.
