How very disapointing that this Entry does not mention the central role of pirates in the Pastafarian faith: http://www.venganza.org.

The essential superioty of the Flying Spaghetti Monster theory of human evolution (first He made a mountain, some trees and a midget) over alternatives sucg as Intelligent Design and Darwinism can be demonstrated by the fact that, wheras humans may share 98% of our DNA with chimpanzees, we share 99.99999% with pirates. Coincidence? Let our children judge.

It is also, of course, significant that global warming has increased in inverse proportion to the pirate population. This can be proved by guessing at some figures and presenting them selectively. I therefore urge us all to Receive the Cheese - reverse the trend by embracing His Holy Noodliness (cheese be upon him). There's plenty of time before our great holy day on September 19th: http://www.talklikeapirate.com/piratehome.html

If a Pastafarian meditates, does he use the matra 'Aaaarrrrrr'?

I'm getting ready for my own special holy day: 7 July, 2006. That's the day 'Pirates of the Caribbean 2' is released in the US (I adore Captain Jack Sparrow).

Interstingly - I see the official PotC site is heavily advertised on the 'talk like a pirate' site.

(not seen either film myself, though.)

Well, I thought the first film was hilarious. Johnny Depp supposedly based his portrayal of Captain Jack on Rolling Stone Keith Richards (and I read somewhere that the producers are still trying to get Richards to play Jack's father in the third film). The Disney suits were worried when they saw early footage, but they wisely backed off and let Johnny Depp be Johnny Depp. smiley - winkeye

Definitely rated 'Aaaarrrr'. smiley - oksmiley - ok
