I made the mistake... of listing the things I need to get done this weekend. Bad bad move.
60-90 mins - Final paperwork for tax return (PAIN-PAIN-PAIN-PAIN-PAIN) 60 mins - Emails about the Community's not-for-profit company 90 - 120 mins - Drafting text about h2g2 and Repsonsible Business 30 mins - Work on the Feedback pages 120 mins Email various h2g2 Volunteers about bits and pieces of work in progress 1 day - Update the 2012 information on the Edinburgh Skeptics website (this is a big one) That's two days solid at my PC, isn't it. Fekkit allto hell. And I had been in a good mood becuase it was Friday and I could kick back and relax a bit. And then of course: Do laundry Clean kitchen Clean out tortoise viv Take down Christmas decorations Book car for a weekend away in Feb (no, not that one!)
May one suggest, special brew with a little lime in it! RJR
I can do all the last lot of stuff on the list.
I'll do these : Clean kitchen Clean out tortoise viv Take down Christmas decorations Book car for a weekend away in Feb (no, not that one!).
Thanks hon. Also, if I do the tax return stuff early, it won't LOOM; I'll do four hours on the Skeptics Website, focus on the Responsibility thing and the emails to the folks. And take Sunday off. Fancy going out somewhere? House of the Binns? Walk on the Pentlands? Realistically, the Feedback pages and the not-for-profit are already stranded in a loop of delay, another two days won't actually harm. B
Going out is good, it's winter so the house of the Binns will be closed. We could got to the Pentlands particularly if the weather is bright. Or just sleep and read a book.
Note to self. Make sure next boyfriend is either from h2g2 or joins, so immediately they can offer comfort and relief from chores and hopefully and too in public where they can't later deny it.That's LOADS. Did you see the BBC Breakfast bit on To Do lists. Can't remember if it was today or yesterday.
Ooh, no? What was it saying?
That list makes me feel very unproductive this weekend: Tidy two bedrooms Feed the family Play Skyrim The two bedrooms might just turn out out be one, or none that very much depends on Harben (my Skyrim character)
My entire Sunday is booked up with a Wedding Fayre, so I'd rather not try to squeeze much else in. B
Mine is relatively quiet for once: run, fat club, kids birthday party, viewing houses with mum, laundry, clean out chicken shed, run again, sainsburys. May meet up with a friend and her kids too at some point. Feels positively idle compared to most weekends, but I am sure we'll manage to come up with a load of jobs around the house that need doing too.
Um, for h2g2 I'm subbing a Uni project for Bluebottle, but don't have to do it this weekend On Saturday I'm meeting #1 son, his wife & kids, after collecting my mother & we're eating out. Saturday night I'm attending Gordon's concert with his 2 live-in students and my sister & her hubby. Sunday Gordon & I are going to my #1 daughter's for tea. I planned this weekend pretty well, didn't I?
Somethng about to do lists making your brain work better. I'll see if I can find a clip or article.
You know what would have made it easier to find...? B
Weeell... for hootoo I have to search for some pictures, upload many pictures, design something, think about the re-incarnation of Barlesque, draw something for Entries if I can... I actually also wanted to go on writing Entries but no idea if there is time.
hmmm.. It seems to be here, but the video doesn't work for me... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/12564921
The video works, but not the sound, for me.
STupid BBC.
Ah, but you're a UK resident, and I'm not - odd though that it doesn't work for either of us... the commercial I had to watch first had sound, so seems odd.
