Hultsfredsfestivalen is swedens biggest rock festival. It goes on for three days and approximately 140 artists from around the world perform. The arranger, Rockparty, is a group of people who do this because they love music. All work on the festival is voluntary. The first festival was arranged in 1986 and had 7500 visitors. In the first festival of the new millennium 26000 people visited.
Some of the artists that have performed over the years: Erasure, Van Morrison, Katrina & The Waves, Gary Moore, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Midnight Oil, Blur, Levellers, Björk, Ministry, Suede, The Prodigy, Rammstein, Black Sabbath, Hole, Marilyn Manson, Oasis, Rage Against the Machine.
