A pink and gold dragon on an inkpotStarted by Patrick, this entry and the ones related to it are all about putting your poetry in a place it deserves. I don't censore or judge the material, just add it in every time, as the writers add more on the threads. So far, we have the poetry of Patrick on this page, and positivefreak, Cybercat , DIABLOS, Archaris Kitten, GoThic AnGel and Phoniex's on the linked entries. Anyone's welcome to read, enjoy and join!

Time

Life tears me like a cut out man.

I am controlled by my desires and my failings.

The past is my future now as lessons learned are ignored.

In this way I am yours I am your humble servant to do with as you will.

I can never have my own life...You will always be in control.

Pain

A reaction, a feeling, a loss of perspective, a gaining of yourself, can we be without it ever or are we forever to be tormented?

Understanding

Who does?

Love

I encounter you but have never known you,

I see you but have never felt you,

I long for you but am fearful of what you may bring.

Life

If I could change my past would I?

If my future is ordained are any actions mine?

The present can not be...it is unsustainable and as such,

can anything be said to exist?

Love = Hatred

Implausable, improbable, irrational, emotional, feelings.

To cry

To cry,

to die,

a thousand deaths,

a thousand tears,

release of fears,

release of tensions,

release of the reality that haunts,

release of the past that gaunts,

the past that jumps you,

the past that takes you,

the past that controls you,

the past that abuses you,

the past that is amused by your every efforts to change...

A day

A day is a dream

a dream is a day

one will pass

the other lives away

life is forgotten

in that which fades

dreams break on sunlight

the feelings to fade

illusions are memories

forgotten by all

a future impossible

The Dark

It holds my tears

creates my fears

in the dark

in the dark

it tears my soul

makes me whole

in the dark

in the dark

i find myself at its will

an all to easily taken bitter pill

life can hide from me no more

its remnants sinking through the floor

in my tomb it shall greet me

in the womb it reached me

in the dark

in the dark

in the dark my face is lost

in the dark my body becomes

in the dark

in the dark

past and present merge

sulphurous fires stench and scorch

pain and suffering without the touch

reach me

teach me

find me

hide me

keep me safe

keep me whole

keep me from that bitter goal

kill me

split me

hit me

kick me

bite me

knife me

stab me

hit me

jab me

let me be

let me see

nothingness

for in the dark

i am one

with everything

ive become

with what i was

what i could be

its all too plain to see

but in the dark i am safe

none need see this face

so in it i hide

in it i fear

in it i am protected from the searing

flesh muscle bone and bile

mucus fresh intestines vile

that future holds should past be undone

and examined for me as everyone

is due and will find in apocalyptic time

when our goddess our god our maker our makers

take out that ticker taper

examine with their eyes

all the deceit and the lies

and so it shall be and come to pass

beware my friends beware your past

learn from it

yearn for parts of it

but never let what is done... become...

Patrick.
