Oddity of the Week: Puzzle

An Oddity Puzzler

View of a street in Cork in the 1920s.

We don't have much information about this Library of Congress photo. All we know is:

  • It was made in the early 1920s.
  • It's half a stereopticon slide. That means it was 3D when seen through an early Viewmaster.
  • It was made by the Keystone View Company of Meadville, Pennsylvania. We know where Meadville is. It's a small town in western Pennsylvania. We assume they sent the photographer over on a boat.
  • The street is in Cork, Ireland.

So, calling all Irish Researchers. Do you recognise this street? You get extra credit if you can identify any of the people, or have drunk coffee in the Starbucks at the bottom of the hill.

Frivolous replies both welcome and expected. This is h2g2, after all.
