Registry. It is a work in progress, and much will be added to it. For
example, right now, I'm not showing which Windows OS'es the individual
registry settings work for. I will add that in, on a later date, after
I've gotten most of the items written in. There are well over 2,000
undocumented and documented tweaks to all the Window's OS'es. :-)
Each line will start with the registry key that wi'll be working With.
If your registry does not have a particular key, then it either needs
to be entered in, or it is not a key that will work in the Windows OS
you are working in. I will be adding designations to these registry
entries later so that you will know for which OS('es) each registry key
will work with. :-)
The Truth is out there. (Way out there). My point is this. Windows
has it all, except for true security. And, many people are shelling
out good money for programs that will either enable the features and
tweaks innate in Windows, or that will do something that Windows is
already setup to perform. It's Microsoft's fault, for not documenting
many options and applications that ship with their OS'es. And now, you
don't have to shell out anymore money to have the fun available with an
Operating System built for the masses. (It is my hope that some day,
you will find how rewarding deploying OpenBSD can be.) BSD Unix has
more Apps then you would expect to come with any one OS, and, it runs
all the Linux Apps, better then Linux. Here's the real kicker. BSD
Unix, can and does run many of your favorite Windows Apps. :-) My
hope is that you will read up on OpenBSD, and learn how it has never
been hacked. In seven years it has only had one exploit on a default
install, and it was patched before anyone could take advantage of it,
and actually hack it. Yet, Windows, (no matter how good your security
is, no matter how good your IT staff is), is still easily hacked. In
fact, Windows 2K is by far the most stable and secure Operating
Platfrom that Microsoft has put out, to date. With that said, anyone
who has lost the Administration Domain Password, or the Administration
Machine Password, will find tools needed to hack and edit their
passwords, from this folder (shown below), on my domain's Public FTP
site. The Truth is out there.
ftp://ftp.nagapc.com/cracks,%20eh/offline%20nt%20password%20and%20registry%20editor/" >ftp://ftp.nagapc.com/cracks,%20eh/offline%20nt%20password%20and%20registry%20editor/ :-)
The format to this layout is, the key (left panel in the registry) it's
string, and the value for the string.
This will Enable DVD payback in your WMP, (Windows Media Player).
Key = HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Settings, string = EnableDVDUI, value = yes
If you would rather use something other then the default,
"http://windowsmedia.microsoft.com/default.asp" >http://windowsmedia.microsoft.com/default.asp", then these
two keys will allow you to exchange your parameters for the
site URL and the name of the 'Media Guide' button.
Key = HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaPlayer, string = ShowCaseButton, value = text
that's the button in WMP, and the text for it. now for the code for the URL
Key = HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaPlayer, string = ShowCaseURL, value = URL
(I used for the button text, Radio NAGA, and for the URL, http://nagapc.com:9000" >http://nagapc.com:9000)
Key = HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaPlayer, string = TitleBar, value = text
(For text, with this key, I used, Player NAGA) :-) Do you see a theme, yet?
