We well accept all submissions that are in our email in-box by noon on Friday.

That gives me one hour to take a stunning photo. I don't know that I'm in with much of a chance, especially given the weather. But still, worth a shot...

ok, I didn't read the details abt the h2g2 contest (slashdot link) when I read abt. it at 11 o'clock today. I just ran off to create an entry. So I am

late
and
not UK-citizen.

Anyway.. I did submit an entry after 5hrs of work to the
e-mail addr. mentionend. Maybe at least someone enjoys it. I had fun creating it.

So - if the email-addr. mentioned doesn't work anymore - should I send it somewhere else?

Hi HerrFong,

Although the email address still works, we won't be including any submissions that were received after 3:00 this afternoon.

I can reveal that we've managed to whittle the hundreds of submissions down to a shortlist of 30, and will be whittling those down further to just ten before we send them to our judges, who will be revealed after the winners are announced, in case anyone tries to influence them

don't worry... I am not from UK anyhow. Just figured out too late. But since i've taken a picture I am happy to hear that at least _somebody_ will have a peek at it.

It was great fun (not to) participate...

We are hoping to introduce something that might be able to make good use of any photos our non-UK Researchers might wish to submit, so look out for that coming soon (hopefully).

I am watching carefully and there's a suggestion I thought I might make, but I just feel that if I was to make it online it might cause problems, so I won't. I'll leave it for another time...
