No, it's live action. Like most movies, the designers will create how the movie will look in the form of sketches first, like these ones, then the set builders, costume makers and everyone else begin the task of making it all 'real'

It's also going to be interesting to see how the third arm is untilized, if at all. An interesting thought: What if it were his dominant hand? If instead of being right-handed or left-handed, he were bottom-right- or bottom-left-handed (or chest- or back-handed, etc, if they were so inclined)? Maybe he is both-right-handed or both-left-handed, even! Just food for thought.
