The Village Library

Library books on a
shelf

Welcome to the village library.

The outside is the sort of mock classical look that the Victorians were so fond of building

Inside every line is lost in a random arrangement of bookshelves that seem to reach up as far as the eye can see. There is no clear organisation to the books on the shelves other than faded paper labels with titles like 'Family', 'Easy Reading', Non-Ficton', 'Reference' and 'Other'

The overall impression is one of friendly slightly faded opulence - possibly a bit like a favourite Auntie

A small door under the stairs leads to the Village Museum

Please feel free to whistle, sing or talk - but I draw the line at demonstrative monkey impressions - as that tends to damage the books
