I believe that a leading goverment minster stated that in 10 meals - breakfast,lunch and dinner for 3 and a bit days would mean a lot of people would break from what we call civilised society.

This was during the last Petrol strike in 2006 where it was said that the large supermarkets replace there basic stocks every 24 hours and without the trucks bringing in every day the news of no deliveries would start panic buying would strip the stores of all basics and after 3 days of no deliveries, we will be on the tins at the back of the cupboard.

After that I think it will get ugly .
