boom boom, "Do you fear death? Mr Turner." Stab stab, boom boom, the wind hails.

WHAT WHAT I can't hear, WHAT YOU SAY, VOLUME what volume. Didn't read that bit.

Were going down; Calipso is going to kill me. Wait a minute, I'm not in this film. smiley - lurk

You must be talking about "Pirates of the Caribbean." Johnny is a-depp-ed at stretching that franchise into more sequels than necessary.

It is getting painful trying to get this webpage to work.

I like some of the acting, but find it a tad cruel and violent. Some parts are very silly whilst others are stunning, It is a very good sequel.

You got to laugh; a story about a comedian who pays only 1% tax on £3.5 million per annum.

I thought that was the going rate.

It works like this: you get employed by a Jersey company, your original employer pays the Jersey company. The Jersey company pays you minimum wages and puts the rest in a trust which lends you it back. But it could be recalled so is not subject to income tax or any kind of tax.

I thought; MMmmm well what about the Jersey tax. So I looked it up and apparently there isn't any. Wot a lot of smiley - pirate's

I've heard of similar schemes between companies which are really all owned by the same group, lending to each other; a rather large bank making a loss in this country made record profits in its first year of trading in Russia, and I think they got a tax holiday in their first year. smiley - rofl

Please feel free to correct speelling and grammer. smiley - cheerup

There's a lot of corruption in business, and just as much in government. Put business and government together, and sometimes it's a wonder how the rest of us have two sticks to rub together. smiley - yikes

And then there is the medical system. I still haven't figured out how there can be such inflation in what doctor's charge the government for medicaid claims etc.

Actually one senior medic has pointed out that not all the 130,000 assisted deaths; called Liverpool Care Plan, are actually at deaths door untill the health sevice helps them on their way in the interest of reducing costs.

He took one off the LCP treatment at considerable expense to himself, even though he is a professor in medicine, and the old bloke lived over a year until he ended up in hospital again, but this time unnoticed.

Oh,oh oh oh.

That's ok. Don't worry about it. We have some wacky people in my country who could do stuff like that, too.

shagbark walks in singing an old Gordon Lightfoot ditty
smiley - musicalnoteI'm sailing down the summer wind
I got whiskers on my chin
And I like the mood I'm in
As I while away the time of day
In the lee of Christian Island
Tall and strong she dips and reels
I call her Silver Heels
And she tells me how she feels
She's a good old boat and she'll stay afloat
Through the toughest gales and keep smilin'
But for one more day she would like to stay
In the lee of Christian Island smiley - musicalnote
-Gordon Lightfoot- 1972
I’d sing more but I don’t want to infringe the copyright, this is just a part of it.

Have you noticed how David Bowie's teeth get straighter with age smiley - smiley I didn't know he wrote songs for other people and certainly find it hard to see how 'Spiders from Mars' was linked to Frank Sinatra.

Who is Gordon Lightfoot??? Was he in a film smiley - smiley
