I wouldn't mind going to Estonia - pretty easy from Stockholm - but how easy/difficult is it for the others?

Hannover? Like in Hannover-Kassel, worst stau of the decade? Yuck (the stau, not the suggestion)!

What's so bad about Bergen? smiley - winkeye

Stockholm's nice, I know a neat place to stay. It's called the Sergel Plaza and lies very central. Nice rooms, good service, neat parking. Been there once, summer of 2000 I think.

Sergel Plaza neat?smiley - erm I've stayed there twice (in business) and in my opinion the rooms were too small for the ridicously high price they charged - and on both occasions the front office staff were too busy chit-chatting to pay any attention to guests wanting to check in - and had a very stroppy manner at that...smiley - sadface

Current weekend rate at Sergel Plaza, one night in a double room including breakfast SEK 1550

I know. smiley - smiley I just wanted to make a ludicrus suggestion. The place is ridiculously expensive, but I think it was pretty neat. The breakfast, the breakfast...

So you're yearning for a hotel breakfast - the full buffé?smiley - winkeye

Well, I know the reservations manager in a hotel - during not-so-fully-booked times I've been able to wriggle some pretty OK rates out of him for old times' sake (we used to w*rk together)

When I tried arranging a Scandinavian meet-up 2 years ago I got the rate SEK 300 per night for a double room, including breakfast buffé... I don't know if I could get such a low rate next year - unless...smiley - eureka you'd be willing to live in so called 'cabins' (underground windowless but big rooms with good standard, built 1½ years ago)

That doesn't sound so bad! It'll also be more safe from nutcases with hijacked 767's than the top store at Sergel Plaza.

(Sorry, I'm currently doing a piece on WTC 2001 with my history-class, and it gets to me.)

-KC who really isn't that hooked on Sergel Plaza - lest somebody else is paying, as was the case last time!

Stockholm... could be on my way somewhere at that time smiley - smiley

Hannover is on the way too... hmmm...

I´d prefere Stockholm... I´ve not yet been to Sweden properly... so I can say I´ve been in Sweden... like I´ve been in Denmark smiley - winkeye

Actually we´d need some place outside the space-time-continuum, don´t we? Could make rates very cheep if we find it... smiley - silly

Hannover is on the way to Prague, which is a wee bit to wet. These days anyway.

That willon be good idea was outside space-time meet did us doing, right? But what then was if pay huge earlier price for will be old technology always expensive to be?

Perhaps Stockholm, be it crowded with swedish people or not, is a fair bit less complicated. Otherwise it was (is?) a good idea.

-KC never mining trying something that willon be not new...
