Hi all, we've got a modicum of normality back. Try clearing caches if you've still got problems

Just cleared my cache (in Chrome) and Effers' PS is still inaccessible.

Yep 10.32..same old error message, plus now if I sign in I get 'sign up to register' message but it still signs me in.

We seem to have a corrupted cache. A few users have got the same problem, and unfortunately it's going to take a while to sort out. But we are working on it.

Thank you Pastey. I do try to be patient but I have endless problems with h2g2 now, especially in the mornings, pages taking forever to load or not at all. It's gone on for at least 2 weeks. It's going to be so offputting to any new people.

But thanks for good and immediate communication. That really helps I appreciate that.

Many thanks it's re-appeared. I was getting quite concerned to be cut off from all the stuff there in case it was permanent. I realised how much it all means to me.

It shouldn't be permanent, I don't think anyone would ruin the database. But many things have been odd the last days. I'm glad it's back, and will close the case in the issue log.

Jackruss, I never saw a problem on your space, could you let me know if it's OK?

U180644 - I'm getting a similar sort of problem - can't get anywhere near my personal space when logging in (two different computers), tried it in Alabaster & Brunel - same 'unknown error' message...

In addition - this computer is set to clear the cache every time I shut down firefox...

When I log in I get the 'unknown error' message...

If I then try to change the 'U' in the address bar manually to 'MP' I get the following gibberish (or at least it's gibberish to me!)

If, however, I click on the standard front page link, I get taken to the front page and it shows me as logged in.... My Personal Space is still unavailable but if I manually change the address bar to MP180644 it does actually take me to my conversations....

How weird a bug did you want today?

I am not having problems with my PS, not gloating, just offering something that maybe useful for elimination or not

I have tried to access Whiskey's PS but am getting an h2g2 message unknown error has occured

Oh, there is one thing - I suspect the GML on my personal space may well include an old BBC tag... Don't know if that's still supported or active any more (or even what it'd actually do nowadays) - could that have anything to do with it?
