My mother is deteriorating fast. 
I've been there all day, she's very confused and I really didn't like leaving her. I'm going back first thing tomorrow to call the GP out and stay until they have been. My sister is helping, they were there yesterday and she did all Mum's cleaning & washing. I have a bowl of soup in the microwave (all hail the god of speedy cooking) 'cos I'm starving

Thank you all for your good wishes and support, I appreciate it
Last night had a long chat with my sister on the old dog 'n bone, and I've just packed a bag to go stay with my mother until further notice. I'll be popping back here daily to tend to
Goldie's needs but suffice to say h2g2 (and Facebook) will be on the back burner. There's no Internet access at Mum's so I'll check emails while the kettle is on
That reminds me scorp, you said you'd email me, I have not received anything so am wondering if you used my old addy, the one beginning "annie" is no good anymore, if you need my regular email addy then Bri & Chris (ST & lil) have it

OMG, what a day. Mum couldn't stand and so I had to put her on a potty. I'll spare you the details but suffice to say I almost did myself a mischief. My sister took over at 5.30pm and she's just rung me, she's called in Social Services. I don't think anything will be the same again, we have to get some quality care for Mum as I am not capable of looking after her by myself.

Don't feel bad about that GB, it is far too much to cope with even between two people.
