Cheers David
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and 2013 is good to you.
Personally, can't wait for Christmas, mostly because there's no work for two weeks! So I have a day and a half left and then I can relax - yay!
You and the family doing anything nice or just the usual Christmas type shindig?

We are always fairly quiet at Christmas and this year was no exception! Having said that, it was a nice rest for all concerned apart from me chained to the kitchen - by choice I hasten to add! New Year always passes me by these days so I'll probably be asleep by 11 as I normally am. If you're on your way to a New Year Party enjoy yourself and I'll catch up in 2013.

Nice to know you had a nice Christmas - and I was chained to the kitchen for all of Christmas Eve, as we tend to do most of the cooking then, but it meant that I could leave my mum and sister to do most of the cooking on the day
Possibly a bit cheeky, but I literally didn't leave the kitchen on Christmas Eve!
We had the whole family over - all 9 of us as per usual - and it was nice, nothing went off as in other years and everyone was relatively well behaved.
As for New Years, well, shuts ins don't tend to go out much as a rule, so I'll probably sit up watching films with the family, have a couple of glasses of bubbly and then go to sleep. It's not like much changes year on year. And though it would be lovely to be one of those people who goes out an does the huge celebration, I've never been a party girl and that's unlikely to change.
...apologise if I'm coming off as a tad maudlin, I don't mean to be. This is my first real holiday of the year and so i've gone from running around to exhausted. If I thought I could spend the entire holiday in bed I would try.
Then again, I'm sleeping longer than normal and that's led to dreams in which my dads mate - my 'Uncle' John - died and no one seemed to care. Very odd. Why can't I have the nice happy, boyfriend, job, in love dreams when I've got time to let my brain go mental?
Anyway, got to go work out the 4th day of Christmas for my blog, so I will catch up with you in the New Year and go treat yourself to something nice in the sales. Personally I'll be jeans shopping, just ripped my normal one
