My understanding is that the break comes with Dobby's death.

That's based on (a) that's where I'd have broken it and (b) one of the reviews I've read this week, which referred to the death of a much-loved character right at the end of the film. So, as that's a bit vague, my understanding might be wrong (the ending has also been described as a cliffhanger and I can't quite see how that would work). But it's certainly *after* they've been imprisoned at the Malfoys, because one of the reviewers mentioned Hermione being tortured.

Putting the break there would also allow HP8 to open with a bit of a recap while Harry digs Dobby's grave.

Original info was that the break would be where Voldemort got possession of the elder wand - which also happened at the Malfoys.

I've just got to the bit where they get taken to the Malfoys, I was worried I wouldn't have time to read the whole thing before I go to the pictures - but we're not going now until Saturday (20th) so I have plenty of time.

I am such a girl and while I read the Dobby bit in the café at lunchtime today.

Oh, I burst into tears the first time I got to that bit (although it was at about 3am so I might just have been v tired) and I still well up just thinking about it. Which is why I may not go and see the film.

finished it last evening - blimey, I'd forgotten about Tonks & Lupin...

We're all going together but #2 will take her Percy Jackson book and if she doesn't like it will sit in the lobby and wait for us

And Colin Creevey It's quite a roll call really. But then I think it was clear from Hedwig copping it quite early on that nobody was safe.

And I'm still not sure I can face watching all that Perhaps I should take a book too.

Essential according to Nod - entire audience weeping when Dobby died. They show Harry digging his grave (so clearly I'm not cut out to be a film director) but the actual end is the opening of Dumbledore's grave, and Voldemort nicking the elder wand.
