Hidy-ho,

I am a little physicist, mostly sitting next to my machine and waiting for new results. Normally this takes five minutes during which I laugh at the results from the last run. Probably this is the physicist's fate. Fortunately I don't have to pay for it, on the contrary, I am paid for it. Like many other scientists. It's a great job. I mean, in other professions you have to be productive, but a scientist can cater their childlike demands: Playing around, trying this, frying that, getting everything substituted and earning enough money to lead a quite comfortable life.
