I had a baby!
A not-so-little girl born on Saturday afternoon at home in the birth pool, weighing in at a whopping 9lb 3oz...
She has no name yet other than Pumpkin
, but we're trying out a few until one or more of them click.
I've snuck on here whilst The Man looks after
when I should be catching up on sleep, so will have to run...

Congratulations, Congratulations

Well done, and what a whopper
Who's a crafty girl then sneaking on here while the man and
are otherwise engaged, bonding?
Is she going to be a
do you think?
Hope you are well, and
too, and the man of course! I think it is a cute name for baby in view of the time of year.
Take it easy, make the best of this time, and rest as much as you can.

Thanks everyone!
My mum is staying for a few days, so again I've managed to sneak away and check my mail...
I'm finding it tough.
Pumpkin has been going through a screaming like a howler monkey demon phase for the last week - colic apparently.
I've tried massaging her, bathing her, rocking her, homoeopathy, rescue remedy and finally ignoring her (
)...
Luckily The Man is great with her and will hold her when she screams to let me walk away and get my head together.
Other than the screaming in the early hours... she's amazing!
I can't believe that she fit inside of me, she's huge!
Every time I look at her my heart feels like it will burst.

Hey Fynn
I'm sure it'll get easier, I suppose when you're 'ickle, the only way of expressing yourself is by screaming, who knows, maybe she's saying 'Hey mum! this is great!'
Interesting names – Pumpkin Howler Monkey Demon.... don't you think she'll get teased at school with those though?
Lots more

and a
and
of course!

My so dear Leoparskynfynn, HUGE
I am absolutely thrilled with your news..Born in the pod. in spite of being a rather bigger baby!!.
But she will be loved and cherished and cosseted and pampered. Enjoy all the precious moments with her.
I met a new neice the other day - Maddy - short for Madeleine . She was charming and lovely.
Antoinette -
Let's have a name the babe competition!!.
There are such lovely names around.
How is the feeding going.? I am sure splendidly. You sound so perky and full of life. I am thrilled for you.

Ah LSF you have my sympathy with the
. The Chinese call it the "100 days crying." Sunshine did it too and I thought it would never stop. I treid everything, including being very careful about what I ate when I was feeding her. Nothing worked. Then it just stopped. 100 days is about 3 months. Good luck!
