Mr603 - Researcher, Post Contributor, Communications Team Volunteer

"You are what you pretend to be, so be careful about who you pretend to be."

Kurt Vonnegut Jr. - 'Mother Night'

That's a pretty apt quote. When I joined h2g2, way back in 2003, I was a teenage sixth former pretending to be a writer. Four years and one history degree later, I landed my first full-time writing job.

This isn't a coincidence.

About Mr603

I'm a 20-something bloke living in a part of Salford that's almost Wigan. I share a house with my fiancee, two cats and a large number of books. None of which I've written, but many of which I've written in.

I'm a copywriter by trade, a blogger by inclination, and a social media evangelist by nature. I'm also a keen homebrewer, a near-fanatical Leeds United fan, and a complete history bore.

My h2g2 Career

Despite contributing here for over a decade, I've still not hit the 25 solo edited entries mark. I'm currently on 18. However, I did spend two years as a Sub-Editor, have written nearly every type of column imaginable for The Post, and currently volunteer for the Comms Team.

Speaking of which, you should look for h2g2 in the following places:

Oh, just for reference, at the 2012 Manchester Meet, I was the tall and handsome one with the glasses.
