Conversation:

Today I have written a letter to my MP asking them to take up an issue (concerning the HSE).

I have also written letters of ocmplaint to the local cinema manager and the local paper concerning the fact that "Pans Labyrinth" is not being shown in Plymouth.

Only a couple of weeks ago I wrote to the manager of my local "Morrisons" to complain aobut how long I have to que when there... .....


What the hell is happening to me?

Also I realised I am actually going to buy the paper today just to see if they printed my letter..... for shame Ferrettbadger....

The question is, are you starting to find the women on the front of women's magazines more attractive than the women on the front of men's magazines?

Although personally, I reckon that's more a sign that you're growing up. And it says as much about the way men's magazines have changed in the last 10 years as anything else...

But I would say that, I'm 32 in 10 days time.

I see what you are saying. There is lots I can handle about getting a bit older and more mature. But becoming someone who writes letters of complaint. Now that is too much!

I just this minute finished reading a chapter of Mark Thomas's book about the arms trade ('As Used on the Famous Nelson Mandela') in which he recounts how a group of sixth-form students set up an arms company to demonstrate loopholes in the export laws, petitioned - not say harrassed - the minister responsible and actually got the law changed within a matter of months.

Made me feel brighter about the future of the country than I have done in a long time.

The point being that, if there is a link between aging and engaged citizenship... well, there shouldn't be

Well my letter was printed in the paper to night and I feel like a right old git.

But strangely pleased at the same time....
