The Scoll Manuscript of On the Road is currently on display at the San Francisco Public Library, Main Branch until sometime in March of 2006. The manuscript is laid out under glass in an exibit downstairs by the cafe. Google San Francisco Public Library, Jack Kerouac for more details. I have seen it. I love Kerouac's writing, so it was a bit sad for me, but it is very tastefully done and balances his brilliance with his disatisfaction in the way the world was going at the time...which may have ultimately killed him. There is a short (15mins or so) video as well.....for all and any who are interested.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
