I note that in these forums we do have the ' key. this can be used to show metre as in the song "I am the very model of a modern major General" which comes out "I' am the very mod'el of a Mod'ern Maj'or Gen'eral" or the SATS wibble song
"There's a Flib'ble and a Gib'ble and a wib'ble yes its true'"
(OH well. more of that on the soapbox) the point is if any one knows what Burns intended for his meter you can show it with this method.
