- Jun 1977 - Dave Lebling, Marc Blank, Bruce Daniels, and Tim Anderson create Dungeon (also known as Zork) on a PDP-10 mainframe.
- ? - Personal Software Inc bought the rights to release Zork for the TRS-80.
- ? 1980 - Zork: The Great Underground Empire Parts I and II were released for the Apple II, Atari, and Amiga.
- ? 1983 - Zork: The Great Underground Empire Parts III is released.
- ? 1996 - Zork: The Undiscovered Underground released to promote Zork Grand Inquisitor.
- ? 1997 - Zork: Grand Inquisitor is released by Activision.
- Feb 1998 - Threshold Entertainment purchased the movie rights to Zork.
