This week's title is Spring Tidings. It dumped buckets on Hooverville – we've had three times the normal amount of rain – but things are looking up, now that the sun has put in an appearance. Bunnies are hopping, nuthatches are being nutty, there are daffodils in front of the Post Office, and the ceremonial First Cutting of the Lawn has already taken place. We declare Spring sprung.

In the meantime, our Willem's still off enjoying his autumn, so you get a nice birdie rerun. In fact, we have a lot of birdies for you, yet again. We even invite you to identify them. The first dozen nitwits who dub them 'Kevin' or 'Gladys' will be visited by the Phantom Ninja Bird Police under cover of darkness. They will erase your online bird logs. So don't do it.

We have flowers. We have a kitty, or at least, the back of one. We have montages of things compiled by the more obsessive photographers. I have decided this was the best way to display these photos. Also, I'm on strike about loading them all, and this is easier.

We have fiction for you – do check the serials out. Whether you're dying to know how to de-scent a whole church fête or learn more than you ever wanted to know about ancient Roman comedies, or have your brain twisted with puzzles about time and space travel, the h2g2 Post is the place for you to be. Take us along as you enjoy your nature walks.
