F1907910?thread=3166105 correctly points out that the broken link to 'List of E numbers' in last section of entry should be updated from: "http://www.bryngollie.freeserve.co.uk/Enumbers.htm" to "http://www.bryngollie.com"

The Bryngollie site says this:
Thank you for visiting Bryngollie.com
Whilst this new site is under construction
only the original site is being updated at
www.bryngollie.freeserve.co.uk
(Please click on the link above)

The site says www.bryngollie.freeserve.co.uk, but if you click on it it brings you to http://www.bryngollie.freeserve.co.uk/Enumbers.htm, the same as the link in the article. And it's broken.
http://www.bryngollie.com/enumbersfp.htm seems to work, but I'm going to play around with the URLs to see if I can provide a direct link to the framed version. (Frames look nice, but they're a pain to link too unless they're very well done, and these aren't.)

That new website is apparently still under construction, and is a mess at this point -- not really something I can see sending people to from h2g2 at this point.
For now, I've taken out the broken link bit -- if and when this site is really up and running (or if someone finds a good replacement), someone can post here and we'll fix it again.

I suppose we could put in http://www.ukfoodguide.net/enumeric.htm in the meantime. I've only glanced at it. It has a Google PageRank of 5/10, so many others must link to it.
It seems to be a comprehensive list. And fairly fair as far as I can make out at a glance. What do ye think? It would be nice to have a list, as before.
I'll just go deal with the Related BBC link.

Trig
Your suggested replacement looks good to me It appears to be a fairly complete list, which is what I was hoping to include with the Bryngollie site.

Right. I've done that. I couldn't remember the way it was phrased before, so I've put it in the way it seemed right to me, namely, thus:
E Number Index at the UK Food Guide - a neutral summary.
Are you happy with that? Specifically, should I take out the second, somewhat superfluous, link? And am I right to call the site neutral, or should I rather emphasise its comprehensive nature?

Trig, I realise I linked to Bryngollie twice - also in "What are Permitted Additives?" - this link could also benefit from changing from:
main functions
to:
main functions
re changes you've made I'd go for 'a fairly comprehensive summary' rather than 'a neutral summary' - incidentally although it is called the uk food guide it does seem to be slanted to pushing Spanish stuff doesn't it?
Key: Complain about this post
