Interesting read. I've gone the RYO route on many occasions and was interested to see your take on rolling papers. Good writing, just a few points.

Chills (USA) is no longer in business. Due to the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) taking offence at the company transporting glass pipes, water pipes, and other items considered 'paraphenalia', the company's assests were seized and the company itself was shut down. Bummer.

GuideML would do this peice wonders. It would allow for bold text, headers, subheaders, and other fun formatting ideas.

This peice might just be suitable for the Edited Guide (or at least the Writing Workshop) if you were to clean it up some and remove the first person references. I'm not too sure about this as I'm not a Scout.

Hi Zebra3, sneaky's right, this is very close to being a piece you could put into Peer Review for submission to the Edited Guide. If you're interested, shout and we can point you towards the Edited Guide guidelines.

Anyway, an interesting read even for a non-smoker smiley - smiley, particularly the part the about the clay pipe.

Sadly there is an entry on cigarett rolling papers already in the edited guide. There is some extra info in here so it might be worth seeing about updating the current EG entry.

Oh I didn't check, I'm not that clever. I was reading it the other day and the lizard looked over my shoulder and commented that she had read it some months ago. Hence the checking and finding. Should have come over and said something soner but the past week has been horribly busy.

Hi againsmiley - smiley.

Difficult to know where to start! Not with your writing, but with what you might want to do with it because I don't know how familiar you are with h2g2.

I'm going to copy in something I posted to another researcher here who was new to h2g2.

smiley - bus 1. your entry already exists in h2g2 so is part of the guide just as it is, as you chose to write it. There are no guidelines, bar the site's T&Cs, for that part of the guide.

smiley - bus2. There is however the 'Edited Guide' (EG) section of the site, for which there are guidelines. The EG is for instructive, informative and factual pieces and tend to be written in a fairly straightforward manner (although not always). The Edited Guideline guidelines are here http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/Writing-Guidelines. As you'll see

smiley - bus3. There are other parts of h2g2 that feature non EG entries, (The Post, AGG/GAG/CAC, the UnderGuide, SOG) that do not have restrictive guidelines and this (the AWW) is the place to submit them to. Because the EG caters for the instructive, informative and factual, these tend to cater more for the personal, creative and sometimes straight off the wall entries.

The choice is yours! But the EG will only accept one entry per subject as a general rule so in your case you'd be asking to update the existing one if that's your option. The place to go for information on updating is A496451.

It would be useful to know whether you want this in the EG, as an update, or not because then people can comment accordingly.

Hmmm, probably far too much info so soon.

By the way, I noticed someone had left a comment on the entry itself - I don't know if you noticed it.
smiley - cheers

Another one stop elvis. I hope we didn't scare him away!

This isn't quite alternative and it needs some work to be suitable for the AWW outlets.

Suggesting a move.
