Hawkwind
Created | Updated Apr 17, 2002
A galeforce wind typically experienced on the moons located in the outer fringes of the Crab Nebulae. These winds blow in excess of 13 megafrobs, translated into earth terms at approximately 200 knots per hour. The hawkwind generally reduces all standing objects to rubble
It is also the name of a British "space-rock" group on the planet Earth, whose members must have descended from settlers from the Crab Nebulae, otherwise, how could they be familiar with the term. While the music is quite innovative for the time period in which they originally formed, their music sounds nothing like the lulling strains of the Hythras on Rigel IV, nor the harsh syncopations of the Vrthgl on Betelgeuse, so I'm not sure how the Earth people could compare their styles. Especially since the Earth group has not embarked upon an intergalactic tour as of yet, so can scarcely be qualified as a "space" band.
