May I ask what was the Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest all about ? I have listened to this song at least a million bloody times and i love it to death, but I still cannot figure it out ...Help anyone?

Oh it's just like me to miss the obvious. Any ideas about Mr. Ira Hayes (I heared he was a hero, though not the spelling of his name).

Ira Hayes - native American who (helped) raised the Stars & Stripes in WW2 immortalised in "Sands of Iwo Jima" (hope that's right).
