There are some things that glitter

And some things that shine

But these things I wish not to be mine

There are others that wish for diamonds and charms

All I wish for is to be held in your arms


Days that have passed not long ago

Filed me with hope and I lived just for you

I see you walking in dreams and clouds

That ever a perpetual mystery shrouds

You eyes shine like mirrors of the heart and the mind

I wish not for freedom but to be trapped now inside


It takes more than words to state my mind here

All I wish was that we were near

If you were in the stars you could not be closer to my heart

And so I weep when we are torn apart

Why is it that I fall in love?

With one like stars falling from above

So bright and calm and high above this sphere

Oh unto you I wish I could be clear.


The velvet night sings out for me,

Should I cry or let things be?

You fill my heart with happiness

I wish for your love I do confess

Constellations above like map do trace

All the things I wish for in my grace


To fill my desire all I need

Is for by my side you indeed

How is it that things may seem

So alive yet so like a dream?

Things are now so near yet far

And still to me you shine like a star.


Oh sparkly things are nice that's true

But all I want from life is you.
