The h2g2 Poem

Ring a ring a roses

Ring a ring a roses

A pocket full of posies

I wish I knew how to run

I wanted to but it was no fun

I let you catch me that long day

But afterwards you walked away

I want you to remember this

Before something goes amiss

I wanted you to love me then

And instead of running I let you win

But was the chase all you loved?

Nothing to your hunger curved

Ring a ring a roses

I loved you once a doses

To stem a line of roses

I loved you for a ring

I am no good at avoiding facts

My hand of cards holds all the jacks

I wish you were no more a knave

More a lord and just as brave

Can you tell me what you think?

Or do you run from things upon the brink

I wish I knew oh what to do

And what to think or what was true

Ring-a-ring o' roses

A pocket full of posies

A-tishoo! A-tishoo!

We all fall down

Will you catch me when I fall

Or will you be too far to here my call

Is it a thing too hard I ask of you

To catch me as I want you to
